Apartment Rent Increases Expected to Decrease in 2017

With over 55,000 units currently under construction in DFW, experts estimate apartment renters will see lower increases in 2017. As reported by The Dallas Morning News, apartment rents in the area “grew at almost twice the national average in the fourth quarter” of 2016. But with nearly 30,000 units to hit the market this year, supply will hit its peak and demand is expected to stay steady as North Texas jobs growth continues.
