Commutes to Lubbock County are an average of 16.3 minutes. Too bad that is not the case in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Dallas-Fort Worth has been named the slowest commute in Texas. WFAA states that in Garland the average morning drive is 29.5 minutes, Fort Worth has 27.9 minutes, and Arlington and Houston both average at 27.3 minutes.

As of last year, commutes statewide average about 26.5 minutes. According to JLL, half of the employed residents in Collin and Denton County travel outside their county to work.

The average American commuter loses 42 hours pre weeks driving to and from work. Dallas commuters could probably attest to that.
