Retail Leasing in Dallas-Fort Worth Continues to Grow

Dallas-Fort Worth’s retail leasing is continuing to grow despite the talk of retailers going down under. Retail leasing for the first quarter in 2019 is almost half of the overall retail leasing in 2018.

Dallas News states “The leasing volume easily outpaced the 450,000 square feet of new retail space that opened in D-FW during the first quarter. With more leasing than building, overall retail vacancy in the area fell to just 5.5% — the lowest in more than five years.”

Thanks to all the retail leasing, employment and population growth are stronger in Dallas-Fort Worth. Eventually the success in the economy for DFW will die down but it looks like that won’t happen in 2019.
